Alan Mercel-Sanca is represented by the AGORA GALLERY, New York

Alan Mercel-Sanca is a UK-based professional artist, who specializes in graphite and watercolour pencil drawings.

He is fascinated by the light and tones of woodland, and has drawn these extensively. This site presents a selection of drawings from British woodlands.

Other work includes architectural, landscape and seascape, and he has recently started painting abstract contemporary works in acrylic.

He is also a professional portrait artist, and in 2006 was commissioned to create the portrait of Steven Appleby, the renowned UK newspaper and magazine cartoonist.

• In October 2007 Alan joined the AGORA GALLERY family of artists, and is now represented by this important New York gallery: in the summer of 2008 an exhibition of a selection of his works will be held at the gallery.
